* RAW Processing
For the best quality from digital cameras it is always best to shoot in the so-called RAW format instead of the standard jpeg. RAW files retain all the information captured by the camera at the time whereas a jpeg has to be processed in camera to produce a much smaller file and so the quality is compromised.
Most camera manufacturers have their own proprietary RAW formats but software such as Photoshop & Lightroom can open the files and provide full editing capabilities.
A RAW file offers a great deal of flexibility in terms of image post-processing so that maximum quality can be attained.
RAW files can be supplied to me on external hard drives or uploaded to my FTP site, I can then process the images and re-upload the resulting jpegs or tiffs.
